July’s bakes where I also highlight what I tried from the recipes
Christmas is almost upon us! And of course Christmas is such a great excuse to bake!
As so many of the bakes linked up to #BakingCrumbs over the past few weeks had a clear Christmas-sy vibe, lending themselves perfectly to be added to a buffet table when entertaining, or even to be offered as edible Christmas gifts to family, friends & neighbours, I am sharing the December round up a little early this month. I’d hate for you to miss out on the amazing ideas that have been shared!
So if you’re still on the look out for some awesome Christmas food ideas, do keep reading. We have you covered with:
If you’re not a blogger, do check out the bakes which whet your
appetite by simply clicking on the recipe title in green! You can also

And if you’re a blogger, feel free to link upto 3 of your bakes in the linky at the bottom of the page
and do remember to share some of the blogging love by checking out some
of the other bakes. The new January linky is already open!
Like most households at this time of year, time has been of a premium over the past few days … which hasn’t been helped with Dad’s visit to A&E after a fall on the ice! Thankfully the x-rays ruled out any break, other than a slight dent to his pride (I’m sure you know what it’s like to fall and then look around hoping that nobody saw you!) he’s ‘just’ sprained the wrist. So with most of Monday spent at the hospital with Mum & Dad, I’ve been chasing my proverbial tail these past few days and although I would have loved to have tried Jenny’s Rudolph Red Nose Chocolate Cake or Midge’s Black Forest Christmas Cake, I needed a super quick and easy, yet deliciously yummy bake to ease the building stress levels!
Eb’s White Chocolate and Cranberry Brownies fitted the bill perfectly. I mean who doesn’t love a rich fudge-y like chocolate brownie! And even better when it’s been Christmassy-fied (OK, perhaps that’s not a real word, but I’m sure you know what I mean) with cranberries & white chocolate thrown in. These were pretty darm good eaten very slightly warm from the oven and even better, if that’s at all possible, the following day.
I must encourage you to check out Eb’s recipe for White Chocolate and Cranberry Brownies! They’re really super easy to make, rich and indulgent and perfect for treating guests over the festive period.
